George Bailey (gbaily@n-jcenter.com) adds:
I recently saw on Art's site (posted 1-27-02) some interesting cloud
formations sent in by James W. Blackwell. His mother shot them recently in
Baton Rouge, LA. Well, I have some similar shots taken in Dec of 1996, one
of which is enclosed with this email. They were shot on my parent's farm
here in central Florida. We live 30 miles west of Daytona Beach. It was
late in the evening just before dusk when this picture was taken.
Maybe a meteorologist could explain the atmospheric effects that cause such
cloud formations to occur?
James W. Blackwell (jamesb@panmatrix.net) sends us:
These are some pictures my mother took of clouds over Baton Rouge,
LA about a week ago. As she described them to me my mind went
immediatley to you. They do look pretty cool.
